The CDIF Data Modeling Subject Area

The CDIF Data Flow Model Subject Area addresses the major forms of entity-relationship-attribute modeling and logical dtabase design. As all CDIF Subject Areas, this subject area is technique independent but offers broad coverage, striving for a superset of the concepts represented in various techniques.

Some of the concepts defined in this subject area include: Entity, (N-ary) Relationship, Attribute, Key, Role, RolePlayer, RoleConstraint, Cluster, multiple inheritance, orthogonal inheritance, projections.
